Amazon is rarely out of the news for long, but the latest technology that’s got everyone talking is the Amazon Dash Button.
The new feature has attracted a lot of media attention, but not all of it’s been positive.
The Amazon Dash Button, which launched in the UK this week, is available for almost 40 brands currently, allowing Prime customers to refill everyday household items by the touch of a button. The Dash Button is linked to one specific product, and with one touch your product will arrive within 24 hours.
According to the BBC, Amazon’s aim is to eliminate the most tedious of shopping experiences, for products such as toilet roll and dishwasher tablets. But we don’t think Andrex will be saying goodbye to the Andrex puppy its marketing strategy.
Amazon’s latest feature to arrive in the UK has faced its fair share of criticism in the media, especially for encouraging consumers to become increasingly lazy.
Is the new Dash Button the future of shopping? Or will it be a short-lived fad? We’re not too sure just yet, but we won’t be filling our homes with plastic buttons any time soon!
